The work is regarded by many to be Steinbeck’s most ambitious novel and by Steinbeck himself to be his magnum opus. This copy is free from previous owners inscriptions and is, overall, in near fine condition. The text blocks are so slightly toned with some very sparse spotting. The boards, in the publishers green cloth are free from notable chips and marks.
Though it does have some slight chipping at the corners and creasing at the edges, with very mild handling marks throughout. It has not been price clipped and shows the original 15s net price.
The corners and spine tips have been restored, though with a seamless result. This is a near fine copy, in a seamlessly restored dust wrapper.
